Interior facelift

Seeing the big picture. Use what exists and weigh what makes sense. “Everything new” usually comes from the desire of designers to realize themselves comprehensively. Substance worth preserving is often overlooked. Especially with short time frames and tight budgets, interior facelifts are clever interventions that achieve great effects with a lot of empathy and resource-saving concepts.

Recognizing potential, leaving out the unnecessary and focusing on the essential creates undreamed-of possibilities. “Making a lot out of a little” needs subtlety as well as experience and is considered a great strength of mine. Interior facelifts free aging hotels from the baggage of days gone by and give them a completely new look with minimal interventions such as painting and wallpapering, lighting concepts, loose furnishings and decorations.

Not only the surface is revised, but also traditional processes and structures are examined for their current suitability and adapted. Especially when there is a lack of time (between seasons) and a limited budget, interior facelifts can make a big impact and provide guests with an exceptional vacation experience.

THE TUFF BATH FINDS ITS ORIGINAL BEAUTY

Targeted design interventions that have a major impact – both in terms of atmospheric appearance and in economic terms.

The Tuffbad in the Carinthian Lesachtal has been expanded several times in the last 20 years as a grown tourism business, it was pieced together and partially renovated. These construction phases and styles were most evident in the public areas. The task was to develop a contemporary overall design that would match the quality of the superior hotel.

The new lighting and color concept of dark tones creates a tranquil atmosphere, and the farm’s own thermal spring, which has enlivened the place for centuries, is characteristically showcased. The zoning of bar and lobby, store and reception, and the mix of existing and new furnishings create openness and a lounge that can be played in all day.

A special coup was achieved with the installation of a curtain: as a light border between bar and buffet, it creates atmospheric clarity. Guests gather in the newly defined bar for an aperitif until the buffet is opened theater-like with the raising of the curtain. It’s a small intervention that the owner says has doubled sales at the bar.

Spa & Vitalresort Eggerwirt: All around beautiful and relaxed

Harmony and balance have relevance for the human body and also for architecture, which surrounds us with comfort.

After the new construction of the entire spa and sauna landscape, the public areas of the Eggerwirt lagged behind in their visual appearance in terms of style. The aim was to freshen up the old building with minor interventions and to unite the two components in the design language with which the Spa & Vitalresort attracts new guests.

A bright color and lighting concept skillfully sets the scene for the rustic material aesthetic of wood and natural stone. New surfaces as well as selective interventions in the loose furnishings create a modern overall impression that builds on its rural roots.

“We appreciate her stringent project management. Evi knows what she wants and has a clear line.” Inge Moser, Owner – Wellnesshotel Eggerwirt
