BLUE BAR AT THE CAFÉ SACHER, TRIEST: SALON FLUIDS IN ITALIAN with PETER WEISZ

Contemporary interpretation of a Viennese gastronomic institution.

Twisted, tiny and listed – the scope for concept development seems modest. The historic inventory of the former Rosini shoe salon is being restored to its original beauty in order to tailor a piece of new history to it with radical caution. Modeled on the legendary Blue Bar of the Hotel Sacher Vienna, which overlooks the bustling coffee house, it will become the centerpiece of the newly constructed Café Sacher Trieste.

Like a luxury compartment of the Orient Express, the spatial gem is developed and everything is made to measure. Deep blue “Sacher velvet”, sparkling crystal and polished brass are the set pieces that bring to life the feminine attitude of the famous salonier Anna Sacher.
